As an Ofsted registered (RP550161), leading organisation in the childcare field and recognised training academy, our staff are trained to provide high quality curriculum PE and extra-curricular programmes as well as supportive mentoring for teachers and break time supervisors.

Primary Education

Teachers can work alongside Sporting Communities staff to develop Outstanding PE that is compliant with the current national curriculum.

Staff mentoring

Staff development is key to providing high quality physical activity and sport to children. As a Leadership Academy we can train and support your staff to deliver Outstanding PE and out of school hours activities.

  • Play-work trained staff supervised by a teacher qualified staff member
  • Staff supported to deliver PE more effectively and confidently
  • Staff expand their skills and the range of activities that they can provide
  • Staff understand how to make best use of their school's facilities and equipment​

We also have a number of wrap around services that support schools and their pupils through health and wellbeing.

The Heart Tree

Children learn about how they can grow and maintain excellent heart health in a highly interactive way. This 6 week programme looks at physical and mental health and wellbeing, nutrition and toxic influences.

Five60

This 10 week programme, founded by Change4Life and Derbyshire NHS explores what a healthy balanced diet is and how we can stay physically active. This programme also covers roadside safety.

Cook, Eat, Play

This project is focussed on providing healthy meals over the school half terms for children and families who are on Free School Meals. No child should go hungry and this programme assures this through food prep, eating together as a community and enjoying family play.

Secondary Education

Teaching Assistance

Sporting Communities staff are able to deliver sports and physical activity lessons that are compliant with the current national curriculum. This can be for sports courses and non-sports courses such as Public Services.

Tutoring

Sporting Communities staff can deliver a series of sport development, or health focussed lectures, or workshops.

Guest Lecture

We can give specialist advice and information to young people looking to go into the social / sport development industries. We are also able to offer advice on setting up a social enterprise, or other types of organisation.
